It’s waste reduction week and since it’s so close to Halloween we should try to reduce the garbage from Halloween. We should use real pumpkins instead of those fake plastic kinds. We can get more use of real pumpkins, by cutting a face out of it and make a jack-o-lantern. And, we can gut the pumpkin and make soup out of the inside. Plus you can dry the seeds, salt, and cook them to eat. For costumes try not using the plastic kinds that you have to throw out after that one day. Try to make your own costume, or buy one were you can wear it for other years. Or if you know how to sew, you can cut up your old costumes and make blankets, dolls, scarfs, and possibly new clothing or donate them to a charity. For trick or treating try to use fabric bags instead of plastic ones, because you can reuse fabric ones.
